Three of the inner planets in our solar system are said to have “higher octaves,” or planets that harbor the same kind of energy that is enhanced or heightened. Lower octave planets include Mercury, Venus, and Mars – their energies are considered to be basic, whereas higher octave planets take those energies to a higher, more advanced level. While there is much more to be said about the astrological reasoning for these planetary pairs, I’m not going to delve into that. This is just a basic guide to show which planets are paired together according to their correspondences.
- Mercury & Uranus – Mercury is associated with matters of intelligence, intellect, and memory. Uranus is associated with intuition and higher thinking.
- Venus & Neptune – Venus is associated with love, relationships, romance, and companionship. Neptune is associated with personal sacrifice, spiritual enlightenment, and universal love.
- Mars & Pluto – Mars is associated with war, passion, and aggression. Pluto is associated with actually attaining desires, sexuality, and transformation.
In the most basic sense, the intentions associated with lower octave planets occur at a personal level, where your wants and needs consist of a more selfish nature. The intentions associated with higher octave planets consist of expanding your horizons to not only help yourself, but others as well, and achieving your goals instead of just dreaming them.
